| "We're on vacation,
you know?" I asked.
"Yeah man. When school starts that's it. This is it man. It's
on." Alex replied.
On September 2nd, summer vacation was over. Junior
high schools in Kitakyushu City resumed classes. Most of us had
half-days with opening ceremonies in the morning and the closing
of school at lunch.
During an ALT meeting after a week of classes,
one of my friends asked me, "Did you feel the culture shock
since school started?". A lot of us answered yes. September
marked a month of major adjustment to the Japanese school system
and its kids. I'd never worked with kids before...
September also signified the switch from taking
stills on my vidcam to shooting with an actual digital still camera
- I finally bought one.
