JET ALTs in our area were notified about re-contracting procedures in November. The deadline for Kitakyushu City Junior High School ALTs was February 12th. I made my decision sometime on the evening of the 6th. It was an extremely difficult choice to make. Staying in Japan had as many pros and cons as going home for me. But I felt more comfortable with only one decision. To each their own.

The weather was especially cold but we didn't get any snow like we did on the tail-end of January. On the last two weeks, clouds gave more way to the sun. It was finally getting a little warmer.

A very reflective month.
