This is the hypocenter where the
atomic bomb "Fatman" was dropped.

And so the story goes: the bomber carrying Fatman was to drop the bomb over Kokura, but cloudy weather that day diverted the plane to Nagasaki, where an alternate target had already been designated.

It's a very eerie thought:
what if things had been different?
