I started to tell students that I'd be going home once this semester was over. Everyone wants me to stay. Exams began for the kids, and I started to ship boxes home.

There is something very surreal to all of this. Being in Japan, at this job, is akin to being in some time warp - things back home are in suspension wihle I find myself in new situations here.

With two weeks left in Japan (as of this writing), I have a lot to savor and much more to reflect on. I'm starting to get the jitters about returning home. But it's a necessary challenge that I'm looking forward to.
